Pharrell Williams, singer, and composer, will join the Ethereum NFT project Doodles, it was revealed tonight at an event hosted in connection with the NFT NYC conference, and the project has obtained its first round of funding sponsored by venture capital company Seven Seven Six. Pharrell Williams will also be contributing to the project, it was revealed.

GODA’s Chief Brand Officer, Williams, has just joined the NFT team and will serve as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer. Williams will be active in the direction the collection goes via animation, special events, and other forms of creative expression in addition to the artwork and commercial items.

In a pre-recorded video statement that was broadcast during the event, Williams noted this. According to Williams, “I’m a huge lover of the brand. If we start at the bottom and work our way up, we’ll take Doodle to new heights and levels, you stated.

Columbia Records and Doodles.com are teaming together to make an album of music inspired by Doodles called “Doodles Records: Volume 1.” In addition to including “known recording artists,” a Doodles representative stated the CD would have artwork made by Doodles artist Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin.

Additionally, as mentioned above, Seven Seven Six, the venture capital firm of Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, has led a funding round in the project. This round marks the first capital fund raiser for Doodles. However the funding amount still remains undisclosed.

Alexis Ohanian remarked that Seven Seven Six is planning a collaboration with Doodles team to “take all the work they’ve done so far and bring it to another level, scale it even further.”

Along with Pharrell, Seven Seven Six’s co-founder Katelin Holloway will also be part of the Doodles’ board.

Doodles 2, another NFT collection with millions of exciting avatars will be launched soon. The 10,000 NFTs will consist of several traits and wearable items. However, the developers haven’t decided if the collection would be on Ethereum or some other blockchain.
